Ever since me and sister found out the cheapest means of transportation when going to the beach, we've become beach bums.  Nothing like a nice afternoon, lathering sun screen on, shaded by a tree, playing the "Lazy Song"  and enjoying the sea breeze.

Oh yeah! Songkran is here and you know what that means! Be prepared to get wet all over!

It's our first time to celebrate Songkran in Thailand and it's one of there most important Holidays because its their NEW YEAR CELEBRATION!!! It is celebrated for 3 days, every April 13-15, but for some areas in Thailand it is celebrated for 5-6 days... how cool is that?! But how exactly do you celebrate Songkran? People throw or pour water on family, friends and strangers. It is symbolized as washing all the bad away. Almost all the stores are closed during the celebration... the goal is to get wet and get others wet haha so at this time water guns are expensive so if you're out of budget you can always opt to water bombs and "tubig at batya". Locals also put wet colored powder on their faces and passers by as a symbol of blessings.

Me and my sizzie opted to go to the beach so we'd have the ultimate Songkran experience. But deeply, we're scared of getting wet! Upon going to the beach we were already ambushed inside the Songthaew (their local jeepney) with boys and girls armed like fire fighters! It was hilarious! Locals inside the Songthaew were laughing at my reaction hahaha I was caught off guard... I was slapped on the face with water! how would you expect my reaction to be?? haha
It wouldn't be Songkran if you didn't get wet. It was an amazing experience. We'd always get wet the most when we're headed back to the apartment... trucks would pass by and throw water at us as we wait, powerless under a tree, for the Songthaew.

We'd do Songkran all over again and the next time around we'll be prepared Thailand!!! bwahahahaha (evil laugh)

Spent the day at the mall. My sister and I watched The Hunger Games and before entering the cinema we looked around and found that there's a Toy Fair happening. My sister loves Hello Kitty so she couldn't pass up the chance on taking a picture at the Hello Kitty arch. Our inner child is jumping with joy seeing all those toys.
Back to The Hunger Games: I adore Katniss Everdeen! I wanted to learn how to do archery after watching it! I couldn't wait for the next movie... Maybe I'll read the book first just like what I did with Twilight. Aaah these book-based movies are my addiction, I wanted to see if the directors, actors and everyone behind the movie gave justice to the book that's why I'm eager to watch these kinds of movies.

If I were given a choice between movies and books you'd know what I'd choose. BOOKS! Loads and loads of books, I like the way it makes you imagine ever scene in your mind; you can pick your own actors and actresses, it's endless imagination in a paperback or an ebook haha

Went back to Bangkok for Easter. It was my first time to attend the mass there and lucky enough it was Easter and the church has a small celebration for it.
The church held an Easter Egg Hunting after mass ^_^ it was my first time, we found 3 Easter eggs! Yipee! For each egg they will give you a bag of chocolates! Cool right?! hehe felt like a kid, hunting eggs and all that. These wrapped eggs were give-away from the church they also gave us bottles of holy water. ^_^
Me and my sister also did a photo shoot that day ^_^ my sister sporting the vintage look and me sporting florals. I had to update my lookbook you know.

Sunday and it me and my sister's time to bond and so we did! We ate at this "Unknown Dimsum Place" and I loved it!!! I specially like the spring rolls and the sala pao (SIOPAO). They charge 14 baht per bamboo container which was pretty cheap. All in all we finished 10 containers, seems few but the food was heavy on the stomach and it's very delicious!

First festival in Thailand that I've ever been to ^_^ It was just like our "Perya" in the Philippines. There's dancing, games, and food. I particularly like their fried ice cream (LITERALLY FRIED!) The ice cream was placed in a thin dough then fried for a brief moment then plated and drizzled with a syrup and 2 toppings of you liking.

Me and Chumphon's local Transformer! haha and down there are fried insects... :| eew
Tried some of the games: you try your luck in this game. you fish for a bottle cap and if you get a lucky number you win good prizes such an electric fan, water jugs, brooms and the likes... if you don't win, don't fret because they give a bag loads of consolation prizes! It's a win-win situation ^_^ I like their blueberry jelly juice among all my consolation prizes.

I also tried their fortune-telling sticks hahaha I don't know what its called but you shake the container full of sticks until one stick jumps out of the container. Each stick has a number and it has a corresponding fortune written in paper ^_^ they said if you get good fortune reading you should keep the paper but if not you could throw away the paper and do it again. hehe My fortune was pretty precise, it was creepy and amazing at the same time :))

Ate Emmy and Ate Evelyn went over to my sister's apartment for dinner. They were sweet enough to bring 2 pints of Swensen's special ice cream... it was so beyond delicious! I wanted to eat another cup of it it but i was to full already.

My sister got a job as a teacher in Anuban Chumphon, she teaches English to her cute students that are both oh so adorable and very welcoming. That day we went to my sister's school for their recognition day. We were all smiles that day, the kids enjoyed it and were so energetic once their dance number was up. It was pure chaos! haha!

Every child got an award it was pretty awesome for the kids especially for their parents. All of them were very eager to get their award up front, so adorable. After the ceremony was their nap time so it me and my mother's cue to leave. My jaw was aching after, i kept smiling the whole time haha :))

My sister was talking to us about the daily aerobics session done at the park so we decided to try it for fun. I never really tried aerobics so i was curious about it. The experience was hilarious! kept laughing in between the moves, felt silly about it but it did made me sweat a lot! I enjoyed it more because my mother was participating too... haha so cute!

We then walked for miles to get to a bookstore! If the motorcycle rides weren't that expensive... ugh! Well it was something that we have to endure. More walk, more fun in Chumphon daw haha.

After walking for what seemed like ages, we ate at an all you can eat Korean resto! Boom! There goes the calories burned hahaha

Had my dessert first. Eat all you can coconut ice cream!!!

We opted to walk home because our stomach was so full! I swore that i will not eat in an eat all you can resto anymore. Felt so guilty after that. :| but it was quite an adventure for the three of us and yet again it was priceless.

Went to Cabana Beach, Chumphon, with my mother and sister.. ate lunch and enjoyed the breeze ^_^. When we got there there were no people in sight, we got the beach for ourselves! Yiiii!

And a wedding just took place on the beach the night before. There were still chairs, decorations and beer bottles.

We also went to Chumphon National Museum. It was so-so, the props were cool though and the museum was technically closed until we arrived haha :))
It was such a hot day that we couldn't wait to head home and turn on the AC in full blast haha nonetheless we all enjoyed our day, a bit educational, and it was priceless.
